Second read on this one! This is one of my favourite Lily Morton books. I love friends to lovers and epilepsy rep, so this one hit some favourite boxes for me.

Awww. This may be my favourite Lily Morton yet (and I've loved all the books I've read so far). Charlie and Misha's friendship leapt off the page and it was only waiting for the inevitable for it to turn into something more. The build up was wonderful and I loved the way they finally came together. I was afraid the story would peter out after that, but it picked up again at the end and finished in a wonderful way (including the adorable [b:Brighton Rock|53237697|Brighton Rock (Close Proximity, #2.5)|Lily Morton|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1587469883l/53237697._SY75_.jpg|80613785]). As for the side characters: yay for wonderful parents and lovely Bethany and Rupert and I definitely need Felix and Max to make up now. I was already intrigued by them while reading [b:Best Man|50196983|Best Man (Close Proximity, #1)|Lily Morton|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1569838489l/50196983._SX50_SY75_.jpg|73440201], and now even more so. I can't wait to read what went wrong and how they'll get back together.

This was a very fluffy, lower angst, best friends to lovers story. We have librarian rep, a playboy MC, epilepsy rep, lace undies, roommates, and some cute chemistry. Quite a bit of care taking too, which is cute to see. Charlie does start out in a relationship with someone else, and we watch that relationship fall apart, which was satisfying and also check CWs for ableism. I also appreciated that there were some time jumps and showing progress with growing and whatnot.

Overall, a cute book. However, really not into seeing HP references in queer romances. This one's eBook was published before that author when on a terf-spree, but the audiobook was released 2 years later, which is what I listened to. Just something to take note of and to protect yourself with in case that's also triggering.
