this comic made me genuinely 100% believe for a second that batman and the joker were going to kiss at the end

Gorgeous art. Story -wise, intriguing and unlikely team up, and a tiny bit of humor, though it did seem mostly misplaced. Joker is crazy as hell and by the end, true to form. I'm as confused about the end as I was with Killing Joke. Really great premise and worth reading.

3.5/5*

Even though I didn't enjoy the artwork and some parts of the story, I couldn't help but love all the Batjokes moments. I loved seeing these two working together. Gimme moreee!

via NYPL - Tired story, murky artwork - really nothing to see here.

Enjoyed the minute-tour of a European city at the start of each chapter. The range of artists on display shows off a lot of talent, though the story is kind of a bag lunch among Batman stories.
SpoilerOh hey, it's Bane, revealed just in time to subsequently leave the story.
The book is really about the reluctant alliance between Batman and Joker, but it ends without much payoff beyond "that was a neat little journey," almost like a shorter Hush.

they are both completely insane. wow. amazing

The storyline was good, but as usual I didn't really understand Brian Azsarello's drawings or arc. What was the thing that attacked batman in the belfry? Did Joker kill Nina? I couldn't really make out the art. So... Who knows?

Two stars for the art and half a star for the on rails tourism plot which just trots from location to location

The story wasn't too complicated, nothing very special happened. Though the relationship between Batman and Joker was quite fun to read.
The art however really is what makes this one of my favourites. I observed every panel so well, it was an amazing experience. I especially enjoyed that when the story got darker, so got the art.
The art was a better story-teller than the words, I think.
