first batman comic ive read and was not disappointed.... so homoerotic i had to stop and sit still and stare out the window like every two pages. genuinely no words. god bless. also hello the art was GORGEOUS.

A wonderfully dark look at Batman and the Joker. It shows how they are so alike, yet so different, and how, at the end, the Joker is more than willing to go on without Bats, but Batman is more than willing to die with the Joker. Through gorgeous artwork, and beautiful writing we see Europe in its dark, twisted glory and it's spectacularly haunting.

An interesting take on the "relationship" between Joker and the Bat. Although these stories are becoming more frequent, this one has Batman far more dependent on his psychotic counterpart than he'd ever like to be. It's a bit of humor and a whole lot of traveling around Europe for the two. Overall, it makes for an interesting read if you'd like to engage in a Batman story that strays from the status quo. The ending / solving of their problem is a bit grotesque, but the entire story has a good bit of action and blood in it--nothing too bad, but fair warning that it's a little gorier than other trades. I didn't hate the overall story and appreciated the variety in storytelling between the two. It's unfortunately just not as memorable to me as other stories have been.

People always rave about this so I was expecting more. The the art is often unclear, and the story is a batman story that's been told a lot of times just this time in Europe, and there are holes in it that don't get plugged up.

Not a fan. I usually LOVE the Batman/Joker dynamic, but this didn't do it for me. I didn't like jumping from city to city. The plot felt contrived, and the end was anti-climatic. Even Joker's jokes weren't funny. I'm sure a lot of fans will like this but it's not for me.

Not best. Definitely not what I was expecting in a Batman/Joker team up.

Wow - it's interesting to see all the people who give this 5 stars and feel like they need to apologize for it! "I know not everyone will like this, but I did."

I don‰ЫЄt think I‰ЫЄm going to apologize. I was in love with this comic by the time I‰ЫЄd finished with chapter 1!

I like the writing. Good interaction between Batman and Joker is excellent when it's done well.

And the art! Sick! I loved the style of Killer Croc.

But some of the panels are hard to parse. Especially when the fever really hits. I get that it's supposed to be like that. But if I‰ЫЄve got to at least be able to see what‰ЫЄs going on.

But even with that, I really enjoyed this Batman comic. I love it when a Batman comic comes together, and this one really does.

Like all trades, this shows the alternate covers in the back of the book. But, different than most trades, the art is so amazing in this book, that none none of the alternate covers were as good as the art in the book itself.

Read this if you‰ЫЄre a Batman fan. Read this if you‰ЫЄre an art fan. Read this if you‰ЫЄre a comic fan.

Thanks to NetGalley and DC Comics for a copy in return for an honest review.

I find the plot very interesting, but it felt like it was too fast paced and too much going on in the short span of this series. I couldn’t really follow what was happening, could be because ADHD but I think it’s more-so the writing. I still enjoyed it art wise and the dialogue/moments between Batman and Joker are cool.
