As tedious as it is informative.  Not a good place to start for those (like me, unfortunately) unfamiliar with Celtic Paganism, it assumes a lot of prior knowledge.  McCoy’s writing has many fine qualities and points for reflection, and is hindered by an obsession with the strict heterosexual binary, seeing men and women as necessarily complementary opposites.  The guided meditations are a high point, if one indulges their strangeness, and the book still left me interested and intrigued— perhaps to seek out other writers on the topic, however.
