'Green Class #1: Pandemic' by Jerome Hamon with illustrations by David Tako is a graphic novel about an epidemic and a group of kids who make stupid choices.

A group of students from Canada on an ecological field trip to Louisiana stumble in to a huge epidemic. The virus turns those infected in to monsters. When one of the kids comes down with the virus, they have the choice of leaving him behind, but they all stay. Now they find themselves trapped where they really shouldn't be.

The art is good, but the story is weak. Stories about groups of people making obviously bad choices are not my favorite. The story from 2019, feels extra creepy in a post-2020 world.

This was a fantastic first volume and I cannot wait to read the rest of this series! In this we follow a group of Canadian students on a field trip to Louisiana. During their trip, a pandemic breaks out that transforms people into monsters. When one of the students fall ill, they are faced with an impossible choice: leave him behind and get out before the wall goes up or stay and possibly get infected themselves.

I'm not a fan of zombies, but a group of teenagers trying to survive the end of the world? That's something I wanted to see, and I'm glad I did it. There are really attractive elements in this story, and the ending was incredible. I'm not a fan of the artwork, but the plot was good enough to keep reading. Will keep an eye for the next volume for sure!

This issue was a ton of fun! Art style was incredible, the characters were complex and all felt fleshed-out in such a small time frame.
The Green Class is sort of your typical zombie story, but it brought new elements to the table. The art style and creatures remind me a lot of The Last of Us so I definitely recommend this comic if you were a fan of the game.

Can't wait to dive into the next volume.

Un super premier tome qui nous plonge au début de l'apocalypse mais pas zombie ! C'est dynamique, les dessins et la colorisation sont super, vivement la suite

Feels a bit like a YA version of Walking Dead, with a World War Z beginning. Instead of zombies we get a kind of mad, mutated tree people.

I liked the artwork—nice colouring, good sketchwork. Very nice sketchbook at the end.

The story is pretty wordy and in general didn‘t do much for me. It didn‘t hold many surprises. However, that‘s just me. If you like the story, this could be a fabulous read for you. This has potential.
