If you have been moving through the series keep it up and read this one. If you haven't, it's a good series and worth starting from the beginning. The author pulls off fast paced engaging books with distinct compelling characters and fun world building. Without going into spoilers, this story changes the status quo for October in ways that feel like they will have interesting payoff in future books. It's still a complete and satisfying arc though and doesn't rely on cliffhangers. It's easy to read and enjoyable, and hard to talk about the reasons why without entering spoiler territory. I am left wanting to pick up the next one right away.
