One of my favourite entries in the discworld series. Pratchett really shows his skill as a craftsman, not only are the plot twists and subversions of tropes delightful in this one, his careful world building and the development of some of my favourite characters really pays off in this one. Plus, even though I'm not usually someone for romantic subplots, the relations both between Carrot and Angua but also particularly Sibyl and Sam Vimes are rating highly as the most solid romantic bonds I've ever read about. Through in the intrigue and political plots in Uberwald with a focus on dwarf and werewolf society and you get a book that you probably don't want to put down until you're all the way through.
