It was very hard for me to stay focused on this book. Not sure if that’s because it is better as a physical book instead of an audiobook, or because of the narrator. Not really my favorite. Definitely had some good words, though

I don’t like nonfiction and I couldn’t stay focused while reading this book.

Excellent.
Eloquently written. Heartfelt. Thoughtful.
A great reminder of God's faithfulness. The perfect read for anyone longing for the "now" to look more and more like the "not yet".

This book reminded me that we can miss out on what is good right now no matter our circumstances by focusing on the difficulties of right now or looking ahead to what we think will be better in the future. Ruth Chou Simons speaks important truths, one of which stood out to me - I don't have to like everything about right now to be intentional and present in it. If I'm constantly looking for what I see to be the next best thing, I will miss what God has for me in this season.
