The writing was borderline painful. Was a thesaurus heavily involved? 

The names, the made-up language, everything was ridiculous. The characters were flat and unlikeable. Also just boring and slow.

It’s a great story but I’m not fond of the gaslighting and the manipulation going on, not to mention the prejudice and references to seeing refugees as terrorists.  The plot is moving pretty slow too, and given the above I’m not in the mood to stick around.
