I love this series so much! More well-written world-building while keeping with the themes from the previous book. Creel is a very relatable protagonist that I love reading about.

Better than Dragon Slippers--more character development all around, and characters who annoyed me in book 1 are either gone or less annoying--and now I definitely want to read the 3rd one!

I never thought that Dragon slippers had a sequel until browsing the school library and by then it was in my hands and I was moving towards the check out line. Checking it out my eyes were glued to the pages through out school, the bus ride home, and every where else I went just to find out what happened next to Creel

A fun and dramatic read, and how exciting all the characters become in this book. I only missed not having more of Luka and Creel's interaction! For a burgeoning romance that ends with a proposal for marriage, it didn't seem to grow or address much at all. But, that's adult wishful thinking for a young adult novel, so I cannot complain too much. Overall, another one of my nostalgic favs

I got stuck awhile in the middle because it was taking so much time to wrap up after the major climax (and I was burned out from reading too many books too quickly). I agree with some of the reviews that say the story has a political side to it. Once I finally did finish it though, there is enough in the ending to interest me in the next book.

As a side note, in one of the battles there was a section that went like this:
And then.
One sentence.
And then.
One sentence.
And then.
One sentence.

Finally, it returned to normal paragraph and sentence structure, but I did not appreciate that at all. It was like an overexcited little kid telling a story. It was very deterring; that's the part where I got stuck.

Rating reviewed 1/28/2023.

Some parts of this series are cliche but it has enough originality to make a fun read. Third one is slated to come out the beginning of next year.

- SHARDAS IS ALIVE!!!!

- I am such a sucker for fun dragon books, and this one does not disappoint! I love this book just as much as its predecessor.

- Marta and Creel make such a great team! Together they are unstoppable, and I love how their personalities compliment one another.

- Luka and Creel make me gush! I admit it! Their banter and flirting really bring out the girl in me.

- Shardas is my hero! Feniul has my heart though.

- I love the ending in this! I love the idea that the dragons don't have to hide anymore, and they can be independent and free!

- The story was awesome! I loved that this book had more action! It was sad, but awesome! I also love the humor and fun as well!

- What did Velika whisper to Krashath? That is going to drive me nuts!

- I want a dragon friend!
