I was so excited to read this book but the age gap and just the man put me off. Because why in the 20th century are we still promoting relationships where the woman is freshly 18 and the man is 30? You’re just disguising grooming as ‘dating an older man’ or in her case marrying one. The book from what I read was filled with misogyny and I know that’s often present in mafia books but there is always some sort of indication that will change however I just didn’t feel it in this case. I’m truly disappointed.
