Great book. Really suspenseful, and a lot of great plot twists. Starts off kind of slow, then speeds up at an exponential rate. Finished this book in a couple days; one i did not want to put down.

This book was way better than I had imagined going into it. The plot was very interesting and there were so many twists that I did not see coming. Anna did get on my nerves a bit but I also felt very bad for her throughout the book. But some of her actions really made me so annoyed at her. It was overall a very fun read.

I accidentally watched the movie first so the ending was somewhat spoiled for me, however, the book was still worth the read. It is action packed, devastating, and thrilling. Dr. Fox is a character you are desperate to love despite her flaws. The story in unique and disturbing. I had trouble putting this one down.

I'm pretty sure this book would have gotten 4 stars if I had read it and not listened to it, because I strongly disliked the narrator for this book. She actually took me outside of the action and drama sometimes when I wanted to be all in, you know? Besides that, this was a great suspense/thriller. It did start off kind of slow for me, but once you got to the action, it was nonstop until the end. I guessed some of the plot twists, but there were others that were so surprising it didn't matter. Overall, I'd recommend, but as a print rather than an audio!

This book was so gripping I couldn't put it down. I loved the mystery of the story, and especially loved how the things the protagonist was dealing with were very well researched and dealt with in a sensitive and informative manner. The book also has a great dry humour about it, which made it even better to read, and really allows the reader to feel like they are truly understanding and witnessing Anna's POV and character.

I am not a big reader of mystery books which is probably why I haven't I picked up until now, but I do enjoy thrillers from time to time which is probably one of the reasons why I ended up enjoying this. It was a nice blend of mystery and thriller.

The absolute best thing about this book though is the unreliable narrator aspect. And the fact that the unreliable narrator is a trained psychologist battling her own mental health battles and her mixing medication with lots of alcohol. Brilliant. I knew I shouldn't believe her about what she saw, but I did. And while I had an inkling of the twist, I didn't care. It was a great, albeit often confusing, journey alongside the main character. Which was how it was supposed to be. Author did a fantastic job of making me feel her confusion.

This is currently my favorite book, I was hanging on every page and I haven’t had a mystery really surprise me in a really long time.
