Literally loved this book so much. I really loved the chemistry between the two characters and the way their relationships developed as the story progressed. The slow build up to them realizing they have feelings for one another was so well written. I think it makes it even better that the authors for this book are a married couple as well! The last quarter of the book made me cry (positively) and i think this is one of my fav books to come out from the month of May 2023!

I kept putting this book off for so long but once I started reading I didn’t want to put it down. This book was so much fun and I really enjoyed reading it. I loved seeing Molly grow more comfortable being herself and I also loved seeing Alex change and learn to let others in. I wish we got to see more of them together after the final chapter but overall this book was really sweet and I can’t wait to see what the author writes next!

WOW i really liked this!! i enjoyed the “she’s all the vibes” but without it being kinda toxic. i honestly really liked both mcs - and the narrators were PERFECT. i think the main things i didn’t like: 1) i wanted more 1-on-1 time with alex&molly and 2) that ending was SO abrupt. some of the fanart though?? AMAZING.

⚠️: alcoholism, addiction, toxic relationship, racism, car accident, abandonment, xenophobia, adoption, classism

(or maybe 3.75)

i liked this story. i think often with two mcs, one of them ends up being insufferable whilst the other one is amazing but that wasn’t the case here. i loved both molly and alex especially how they brought out the best in each other. and their moments were so damn cute. I really loved how Alex had to learn that what you see as ‘typical’ in relationships is often rooted in the relationships you saw modelled as a child. and her coming to terms with the fact that
Natalie did not love her and never would was very powerful. yay to knowing our worth

now,
molly’s mum being racist was…a choice. i understand that there are poc who were raised by yt people in white areas and went to pwi which caused them a lot of trauma. and i know that sometimes this can make people choose to ‘turn their back’ on their culture in order to try assimilate into yt society. but jesus christ her mum was such a prick. that scene with the Korean restaurant server was disgusting and then when molly confronted her she said “I’m sorry if my issues with being Asian have affected you.”respectfully, miss me with that BS. her mum will still hate being asian after the ending of the book which is :/ because HER KIDS ARE HALF ASIAN. what does it say about them and their identity if their mother is so set in her ways to hate all things asian? idk

and i wish there was just a little bit more depth to Molly and her struggles.

JUST WANNA SAY WE WERE ROBBED BY THAT ENDING

Fantastic book, other than the fact that it took Alex and Molly almost the entire book to realize that they were in love

I really liked this book, it was really fun and the whole thing was really entertaining to read.
I wasn't really a fan of the fact that Molly spent the ENTIRE book fawning over Cora just to reject her when she realized she liked Alex, but it's not the most unrealistic thing and I know feelings are confusing so it honestly wasn't that annoying.

I liked the story and the sort of I'll-do-yours-if-you-do-mine thing that was going on, and I'm happy with who everyone ended up with. I did like that while it was a generally fun book there were parts of it that took a darker/ more realistic side and I really enjoyed that.
Overall it was very good and I really liked it :)

Absolutely adorable lesbian fiction suitable for an older teen auidence.

This was slow to start. I restarted this twice and forced myself past the first few chapters before I found it interesting enough to keep going.

It has kind of a predictable storyline, and some characterisation - especially Alex - is very much something one could consider "stereotypical wattpad", that aside it was actually a really cute story.

I dont know if it is mentioned earlier than when I found it, but I didn't realise Molly was Korean until about half way through the book... which I feel is a really big let down in terms of her character.

It was really cute, and has a sweet message about being yourself and not forcing love. Definitely worth picking up if you want a ya lesbian rom-com.
