i'm pretty much done with my lauren asher marathon, which means i can now safely—more or less—admit that, contrary to popular belief, i am not having too bad of a time. all in all, except a couple of really bad titles—“terms and conditions” and “love redesigned”, i am talking about you two—the rest i enjoyed. a normal amount.
i didn't think, as a matter of fact, that any other book from lauren asher was going to make me feel half as much as “final offer” did. and then “wrecked” came 'round. somehow, i knew since reading the blurb that this was going to be special, and i am oh–so glad to conclude that my sixth sense wasn't wrong.
for quite a bit i even thought i was going to give this a five–star rating. which would make “wrecked” even better than “final offer”. now that i am done with it, i am not so sure though. i think “final offer” keeps the cake, but “wrecked” is definitely a close second. so four stars for both, at least for now. maybe i'll find it in me to come back to these books eventually and reflect some more on their ratings!

wanted to dnf this book so bad idk why people say this is their fav book from this series. giving your characters this much trauma doesn’t make them complex and well written. it’s giving lazy writing.

I have no idea how to write this review. Everyone in this series just needed to grow a pair honestly. (Afraid to commit, Can’t spit it out/Say I love you or how they feel, Lovers in denial....all 3 tropes are in most of the books)
So jax deals with really bad anxiety, his mom is sick and he is not handling it well. Elena is broke and traumatized so obviously she gets hired by Jax manager and it all starts there. Elena ended up becoming his PR agent because Jax messed up BADDD.
This book shows how mental health is wicked fr. But anyways this book is still cute even though it has a lot of flaws. If you love close proximity situations then this is for you because I sure loved it.
My favorite character is Jax's mom, ironically enough Liam, Sophie, and of course Santiago even tho he was mentioned like once in this book.

I think love interests in romance books should be...charming. That's what I was thinking throughout the whole book, and Jax never delivered, I like his mum and the random kid with cancer.
Moderate: Terminal illness

Probably my favourite so far in the series! More like bickering people to lovers rather than enemies but they they were slay so can’t complain.
