so sad and so lonely, and I just wished for our main character to sit and rest and have a meltdown because I think she might have needed to at multiple points, but she continues. I loved this book a lot. The experience of reading it felt so immersive, and it feels hard to explain what was so captivating about it.
there are so many interesting lenses you could use to look at this book! is it anti-war, is it about the nuclear family, is it about how complicated it is to be in the presence of other people, is it about gender dynamics! (i think all of them).
