I really wanted to like this book. I wanted it to be some devastating tale of redemption and a huge plot twist at the end.

But it wasn’t. And there wasn’t.

It was just a story about a spoiled kid who has a traumatic experience and is somehow less of an asshole on the other side.

I didn’t get any closure. No reasons why anything happened. No explanations about Caleb and his motives. Just. Nothing.

Pretty good, really liked the concept and the illustration of Stockholm Syndrome.
I liked that the book didn't end at the rescue, but showed life afterwards in the recovery and the discovery of who he was as a person

It's a decent book, although it's very, very slow in some places, which was the reason I didn't give it a solid four. Some parts are rushed right along, but other parts just drag, and I found myself kind of zoning out at a few parts.
