Another great story! The stakes are getting higher. If I wasn’t holding my tablet, I would’ve bit my nails to the quick.

I not only laughed out loud, but I gasped startling my husband, and I even cried with this book. What an amazing ride!

The world MCD has created is such a delight. I absolutely love this book series. I love the hints and the foreshadowing throughout each book.

Though a few times the descriptions like that of San Francisco felt a tad heavy handed, everything from the unfolding of the story plot and series plot to the wonderfully developed characters and their relationships to each other, far exceeded and diminished the few clunky and heavy descriptions.

It’s such a treat to read something that’s so entertaining and grabs you from the first sentence. That’s a testament to MCD skill as a writer and storyteller. Thank you MCD!

Tired of this series. Tired of how she thinks she is all that. Tired of the destruction of characters I like. Only thing I still like is the unpredictability of where it will go next.

Not the end of the series

If you like the first four books you will like this one. The last book had the vampire recovering from injury, this one Kandy is recovering from an injury. More chocolate then cupcakes.

Jade finally gets laid. It is at the very end of the book but it does happen.
