Liz Tomforde could write a recipe and I'd read it.

This book may have been my favourite of the Windy City books so far. It was like a sucker punch to my heart at some points, and I was absolutely sobbing towards the end, but it wouldn't be 5 stars for me without a HEA!

Miller is both the most relatable and frustrating character, I understand why she is making all of her decisions, but it doesn't make me want her to change her mind any less.

Meanwhile Kai is 6 foot 4 and gorgeous so... need I say more?

I really enjoyed this book but wasn’t as obsessed with the characters as the first two couples. Well I was obsessed with Kai but couldn’t relate as much to Miller. Still a solid fun read though!

Another wholesome and fun romance in this series, although it felt a bit long.

Did not love the Isaiah/Kennedy side plot. Sexual harrassment at work isn't cute.

Kai seems to go through nannies faster than his son goes through diapers. He is in a desperate situation. As a single dad and a professional baseball player who brings his son on the road, he is in dire need of a nanny he can trust. His boss, Monty, decides to take matters into his own hands and hires his daughter for the job.

I LOVED this book! Yes, the plot predictable, but it doesn't detract from it at all! And the banter was so entertaining.

I loved all of the character in this book. Kai is struggling to find balance between being a good dad and loving his job. He feels immense guilt about working instead of spending that time with his son. He feels like he cannot trust anyone, not surprising given his past. What he fails to realize is that he has this incredible support system around him.

Miller sweeps into his life like a tornado. She is wild, sassy, independent, and strong. She is fueled to be the best, to show her father that his years of sacrifices have been worth it. She struggles with forming connections and emotional ties. She is scared of commitment, so she never stays in one spot or forms relationships. I did get a little tired of her indecisiveness and her push/pull.

Miller and Kai's relationship develops so gradually and naturally. As they build up trust and break down walls, we see an incredible emotional connection form. These two bring out the best in one another. Yes, it was a bit of a winding road to get there, but they help each other heal and find balance.

The parent/child relationships in this book were so raw and emotional. Monty is an incredible father to Miller and role model for Kai. He has sacrificed so much for his daughter. I adored the relationship that Miller, along with everyone else, had with Max.

I LOVED the supporting characters and that we had the MCs from the previous books. I liked catching up on their lives. I really want a Rio book!

My only complaint is that Isaiah's behaviour around Kennedy really was sexual harassment.

Tropes: nanny x single dad, sports romance, only one bed, boss' daughter, extrovert FMC x introvert MMC, age gap
