Twins Francine (call her Fran now) and Maureen are starting sixth grade and for the first time, they aren't in every class together. Fran decides to run for class president, and when Maureen finds out she can earn extra credit in a tough class, she decides to run too. This puts a bigger rift between the girls and friends are starting to pick sides or not hang out with them at all. Their parents and older brother try to help the situation, but the girls' relationship keeps straining.
A well illustrated graphic novel about many early middle school issues. The ending, as one can hope, is heartwarming and a nice wrap up to the story.
