I liked it, the art and dual story lines was fun but I felt like there could have been more of the story

As usual Noah's art is great, but the two stories in the book don't go well together. I really enjoyed the stories about Noah's unusual childhood, and would have preferred to see a whole book of that.

Introspective, candid, and beautifully melancholy. For the record: that jerky gf didn’t deserve you anyway Noah you’re better off!!!
Perfect pictorial storytelling.

I really liked what was here, but it left me with so many questions! I wish it had been longer and more fleshed out. It's episodic and there isn't much in terms of a conclusion. It's really beautiful, though, and I look forward to reading more from Van Sciver.

There are moments in our life we can’t seem to get over. They haunt our memories and seem to hover over us until we find a way to exorcise them. This graphic memoir seems to be an attempt at such an exorcism.

3.5/5; an interesting look at the ways that where we live can get in our bones and may influence the present.

Really good and emotionally engaging. I've read a lot of Van Sciver's work and this was a nice addition that provides some context for some of his earlier works.
