I received the audiobook from audible several years ago and just listened to it now. I'm surprised how different the movie was from the original story. Not a big fan of the Anne Hathaway reading, she sounded like she was only reading to 5-year olds.

I read (listened) to this as part of the 2017 #MMDChallenge (growth): "A book published before you were born"

Que bonito!!! Me encantó esta historia, aunque ya la conocía por cuentos y películas infantiles que vi hace muchos años, esta ocasión fue como si lo leyera por primera vez. Me hizo recordar mi infancia

I LOVE The Wizard of Oz movie so I decided to pick up the book and give it a whirl. I had very low expectations, not really sure why, but this book was amazing. I'm almost mad it took me 29 yrs to read it!!

The movie and book don't even compare. Both are great in their own right but the book is far better. Dorothy goes on a big adventure, of course, but it's far greater and more things happen. You are introduced to ALL 4 witches even if it's super brief, there are way more lands she visits, and way more characters. :)
