Slow going until about 250 pages in and then really grabbed me… will now definitely read the rest of the trilogy!

I may have liked it better if I had read it rather than listen to the audiobook. I stuck it out, but I honestly missed large blocks because the narrator/story weren't holding my attention and when I realized I had been distracted and missed sections I couldn't bring myself to care enough to back it up to catch what I'd missed. The narrator's pronunciation of Alais's name really bugged me.

no thanks on the graphic violence against women.  Had been mildly intrigued until then, but only mildly.  The holy grail, religious quests, meh.  So, life's too short, and my bookshelf is too small.

A Holy Grail mystery that interlocks the lives of those from the past to those in the present.

I wanted to like this book because the story has a lot of potential but the writing, plot, and characters are all over the place. Ain’t nobody got time for that
