I love ZC. I love this world and these characters. But I was super not into the adas storyline and world. This is probably a controversial opinion - I had a hard time with this installment! So my world score is low, but my writing score and love of Rose score is high, averaging out to 4 stars. ZC is still an auto buy author for me!

Another great entry in Córdova's magical realism series. A portal fantasy like the first we this time it's Rose Mortiz's turn. With a dark power like the villain of the first book she's dragged into a conflict by demanding truths she should never have asked for. It gallops along with the same pace as the previous too but I couldn't help wondering the whole time about another story she sets up for a character I already care more about than Rose.

Fantastic! I know this is the last one in the trilogy, but maybe....she'll write more? I would love that. I love this universer, the mythos, the characters, the plots, everything!

A riveting ending to a wonderful trilogy of family bonds, sisterhood, culture, adventure and of course magic! The youngest brooklyn bruja Rose is sassy smart and courageous who takes center stage and she lived up to all expectations and beyond.

THIS IS WHAT I WANTED THE BROOKLYN BRUJAS SERIES TO READ LIKE.

While I thought the previous books were fun and passably enjoyable, I never LOVED them. Wayward Witch however, gives me what I want - interesting characters with complex motives, a new take on fantasy mainstays (in this case, the fae), the focus on family, and stellar writing.
