Cassandra is my kind of person. She’s got endless stories; from her time as a teenage groupie, to becoming a Las Vegas showgirl, to creating Elvira. Plus she is full of empathy, compassion, and humor. I would absolutely pick up another book, if she to continues to write.

I listened to the audiobook, which was read by Cassandra Peterson herself, and I would highly recommend it.

Only bumped it down a half point because the end felt rather rushed. I’ve noticed that’s a pattern for modern memoirs, so it wasn’t that surprising.

I’ve loved Elvira from the moment I laid eyes on her at 12 years old. Her story is absolutely fascinating. A showgirl at 17? What a woman.
