The Wedding Gift: This novella takes place between Darcy and Elizabeth's engagement and marriage. I enjoyed the story, but felt a disconnect because it had characters I knew, yet the characters in the novella didn't quite seem the same as the characters I knew. I think I would have enjoyed the novella more with everything the same but the tie-in to Pride and Prejudice. I did like the journal format. And I liked the dog.

Dream of a Glorious Season: I loved this novella and found it quite delightful. I love Sarah Eden's writing and this novella was no exception. I really liked the main characters and the interactions between all the characters felt realistic.

The Mender: At first I wondered how this would fit into the Regency collection since it started in New England, then continued on a boat headed for Italy; however, once they came upon the aftermath of the Battle of Trafalgar it made sense. I liked the historical aspect of the story and what I learned about the battle and the Quakers. I liked Thankful's tenacity.
Rating: 4.5
Content: Clean - a mild swear word, mild descriptions of injuries

Begin Again: I really enjoyed this novella. There are a number of flashbacks and they fit seamlessly in with the story. This story tugged at my heart strings.

An Affair at Wildemoore: I really liked this novella. I liked the focus on the parents and on rekindling the love they'd felt in their youth. Love between married couples is less often the focus of romances, but I think it is a needed part of the genre. I enjoyed reading this story.

The Duke's Brother: Mabel is such a fun heroine and Gregory an excellent hero. Since I finished reading, I have sometimes thought I had a book I was enjoying reading but had not finished, only to realize that it was this novella and I had finished. I simply wanted more.
Rating: 4.5 stars
Content: Clean - one mild swear word

These aren't your typical Regency romances, but they were lots of fun to read. I enjoyed the quirky characters and the variety found in the stories.

The Timeless Romance anthologies are some of my all-time favorites. I always love collections of short stories, where it's easy to set down/pick up and each story is a quick read (with a happy ending!). The authors of these collections are also some of my very favorite. This was a wonderful collection of Regency stories. I love how all the stories are so different, yet set in the same basic historical period. Some stories I loved more than others, but all together such a fantastic collection!

The Wedding Gift: A Pride and Prejudice Story by Anna Elliott: I enjoyed this tale told in the form of a dairy from Elizabeth Bennett's point of view in the few weeks before she marries Mr. Darcy. There were many great details to the story, from the puppy to the kidnapping. I wasn't prepared for the kidnapping twist to the story and at first I was nervous it would ruin it for me, but it didn't. Very entertaining read.

Dream of a Glorious Season by Sarah M. Eden: I always enjoy Sarah Eden's writing. She writes regency very well, makes it real, entertaining, interesting, and brings it to life. I felt so sorry for Beth and the way her parents and sister treated her, but I enjoyed reading how Julian and Helene worked to improve her situation and bring her out into society.

The Mender by Carla Kelly: This one was very entertaining; and I was, honestly, a bit leery when it started out with the main character, Thankful, being a Quaker and how that would play into the story (as far as cheesy factor). However, the story line was well developed and entertaining, with humor and just a touch of risque thrown in now and then. I really enjoyed Thankful, her varied mending skills, and all that she encountered on her adventure. While the story also dealt with war, the author did a great job of incorporating all the details well and making it still interesting and engaging and the humor and romance all tied in with it. I've read another short story by Carla Kelly in this anthology series and was reminded again while reading this one how much I enjoy her writing and that I need to start reading her full-length novels!

Begin Again by Josi S. Kilpack: A story of lost love reconnecting and how to deal with and accept misunderstandings. This was very well written, with great characters and everything developed well in a short amount of time. There was even a tiny secondary love story going on for Reggie's brother at the same time as her own. Josi Kilpack's branching out from her culinary mysteries into regency romance has been a good move for her!

The Affair at Wildemoore by Annette Lyon: An unexpected love story, not of new love but rebuilding the love between husband and wife that had mellowed and started to be taken for granted and even start to fade over time because of a heartbreaking loss and miscommunication. Another well-developed story in the short story format.

The Duke's Brother by Heather B. Moore: A thoroughly enjoyable romance between two people fighting what society expects of them, simply because they both want a simpler country life and not the busy city life. I enjoyed the interactions between the characters and how Gregory wanted to give Mabel his greenhouse to use for her collections and wanted to take her to the park to try to find the lizard she had released there before after causing a scene with it the year before.

Overall, this was a very well-done and entertaining read of regency stories, each different but enjoyable in their own way. Another great addition to this series.

***I received a copy of this book from one of the author's in exchange for my honest review.***

I really enjoyed the stories in this book. A couple of the authors I had read before and will be seeking out again. It's difficult to pick one story over any other the others to say it was my favourite. They were all so good.

I loved getting swept up in the world of Regency Romances.

I'm not normally a fan of short stories, but 5 out of 6 stories in this collection made me teary eyed, so I'd say that's a win.

sigh

I'm such a sucker for swoon worthy stories. While I must admit I didn't read the first one (I'm not into revisiting Austen's characters in their own setting. It feels too much like fan fic and I just don't like it. Now, it its a remix, or retelling or something, that's fine, but actually seeing Lizzie and Darcy as though a continuation of their story? No, thank you.), I read the rest and found that this anthology is one of my favorites of them all. Well done, ladies. Well done!

Anthologies are hard to rate because there are so many things going on in each of the stories to consider. I really enjoyed most of these, so I'm giving this a 3.5.

The Wedding Gift: A Pride and Prejudice Story by Anna Elliott (4/5)
This was cute, and I enjoyed reading it for the most part. A big part of the plot is this actiony bit that felt kind of awkward to me, but I got over it because PRIDE AND PREJUDICE FANFICTION. LOVE.

Dream of a Glorious Season by Sarah M. Eden (4/5)
This one was adorable. I cannot resist a friends to more romance.

The Mender by Carla Kelly (3.5/5)
This one was slow in the beginning, and I had a difficult time getting into it. The language contributed to that too. I know it's a time period thing, but the use of thee and thy bothered me. The romance was also a bit off for me. It wasn't as developed as I would have liked. I know it's difficult in short stories but still.

Begin Again by Josi S. Kilpak (4/5)
I love second chance romances, and this one was especially sweet. The love interest was a bit pushy and annoying in the beginning, but he grew on me.

The Affair at Wildemoore by Annette Lyon (5/5)
More beautiful second chance romance! This was so well done, and I loved it.

The Duke's Brother by Heather B. Moore (3.5/5)
This was cute but also mildly insta-lovey, so I wasn't really into it. The female MC was a fun character though.
