A little all over the place for me and crude at some points and there was a bit in the "My Boys" chapter than had me glancing sideways as if the imaginary person sitting next to me was going to agree that was weird but over all I love Amy Poehler and I was happy to listen to her read her book for 7.5 hours

I absolutely adore this book and Amy Poehler. I remember reading this when it was just released. I was in high school and I loved Parks and Rec. I remember loving it and caring for Amy so much. And it still holds strong!
Yes Please by Amy Poehler was a great read. Amy Poehler's personal stories and experiences were shared with warmth and humour and everything was wrapped in a beautiful package (I bought and read the gorgeously produced hardcover edition). I've been a fan of Amy Poehler for years and Yes Please was a great opportunity to get to know a bit more about the woman behind the laughs.

Amy Poehler is a goddess and I loved this book and her writing so much. She is wise and has amazing perspective on her life and the world we live in. I foresee this being a book I will re-read often throughout my life if I need some inspiration or a pick-me-up.
I would highly recommend reading the audiobook! There was a lot of extra content and it was fun to hear from people like Seth Meyers and Mike Shur.
Amy Poehler is a very funny person, and I would happily read any book she writes, but as far as autobiographies, this one wasn't my favorite. Parts of it felt a little out dated for 2019, but my main complaint is that she spent a lot of time writing about writing a book, and also writing lists. It definitely felt like she struggled through parts of writing this book, which made parts of it a little bit of a struggle to read through.
I still enjoyed the book and would recommend it to anyone who likes Amy Poehler!
