Lovely book, I can highly recommend. Definitely became one of my favourites.

Tragic and powerful. An eye-opening firsthand account of the Holocaust and life after surviving.

Well this is what you expect it to be and more. A man's search for meaning was a defining book for me and this was a wonderful, slightly different perspective and experience in a similar sittuation. What I loved about this story is not only the experience in the author's formative years but how she managed to grow and thrive from that.

A deeply moving account, not only of her experiences as a young girl surviving Auschwitz, but also of her life, her struggles, facing her fears and learning not only how to find healing for herself, but also how to help others to find healing for themselves. A profound and uplifting read.

One of the best books I've ever read.

It was heartbreaking. It was overwhelming. So emotionally. It was gut-wrenching.
Everything was so hars, so raw.
It made me cry. It made me sob.

It was so well written, that I couldn't stop reading. I kept wanting to know how everything fell into place.

Narratives like this show, that not matter what, hope is the last thing we lose. That even in the worst scenario, hope is what keeps us going. And that no matter what, we are the only ones who can define and shape who we are.
