For the most part, this was an exceptional memoir that was brimming over with qoth emotion.
The uniqueness of this memoir over others that I had read was that Edith has gone on to become a psychologist, and she uses her knowledge to explain trauma and how she has used that to cope.
This book started to lose me when it just started recounting past clients and their issues. Though interesting in their own way,.and at times linked back to Edith's own trauma, I was just reading to finish the book. It felt like two different books had been stitched together..

A harrowing memoir for the first half with the second half being clinical examples of her work with patients as a psychologist. This part dragged on a bit for me, but still learned a lot and appreciate her insight into other people’s problems.
