This book was okay. Similarly to the book prior, Steel Princess, I enjoyed the plot and the mysterious elements of the narrative. The constant back and forth over these three books between Elsa deciding she likes Aiden and then deciding she doesn’t again is just too much. The smut in this is down right inappropriate at times and really not for me, sorry. I also just don’t find myself in love with Elsa and Aiden as a couple, so the romance elements of it just don’t hit where they should. There were for sure some romantic moments which I loved, like the back story behind the arrow tattoos for example, but just overall not enough. I did like the gradual reveal of Elsa’s memories and just how much her past trauma is interwoven with Aiden’s though.
I’m not sure whether I’ll read the remainder of the Royal Elite series or not, I know the rest of the books all now centre around different characters/couples which could be interesting, so we’ll see.

This book was maybe, possibly a little bit better than 'Deviant King' and 'Steel princess'. The only thing that made it better was the introduction to new side characters (who will get their own book further on in the series). Aiden was also a litlle less of a douche so I guess that counts too.

Those are the only positive things I can say about this book. It is still repetitive, it still follows many popular tropes (and not in a good way) and I still hate Elsa and Aiden (I cannot express how happy I am I finished their story because I don't think I have many braincells left).

Now I can finaly start with the books I'm actually interested in and can forget about this Aidenelsa (??) couple because I tired of them.
Only hoping that the following books are actually good (or at least better) because I can't anymore.
