Each Book Just Keeps Getting better

Ugh, this book made my ugly cry for all the best reasons. It was relatable to those of us with not great home lives, and relatable to anyone who feels different or that their lives have unexpectedly changed. It made me laugh and smile and cry and I LOVED it.

Also, that extended epilogue? Are you kidding me

Gorgeous gorgeous portrayal of experiencing a tragedy, living with a disability, and how it's possible to overcome it and live a beautiful life. This was NOT the story I was expecting when I picked up this final book in the Dirty Air series, but I am so glad it's the one I got. Santiago while annoying at time, its obvious how deeply hurt he is and struggling with his disability. Chloe was the breath of fresh air, and a realistic example of how to interact with someone with a disability, spoiler it's to treat them normally like a human. I appreciated how their story wasn't an easy one and how they had to grow together as they both process hard news and learn to rediscover who they are.

man. this was rough. definitely one of the worst lauren asher books, personally. i know that this has quite a lot of positive reviews and maybe the best rating out of all of them, which i find confusing to say the least.
i went into “redemeed” expecting more—especially after “wrecked”—maybe even a little too much, and that was my first mistake. i don't know. reading this was painful, and i don't care about how dramatic that sounds. the style isn't too bad, although things were way too rushed towards the end, but anything else about it is just so dull.
the romance is slow as fuck—even just the main characters' first meeting comes way too late for my likings. not to mention that i couldn't care less about their personal struggles—especially the whole “i'm gonna move to italy to find my estranged dad” parenthesis that chloe had. boring. boring. so, so boring.
my lauren asher marathon couldn't have ended on a worse note.
