When I found out that Wed by Wednesday was going to be Orla and Jethro's story, I was beyond excited! I get such a kick of Orla, she reminds me of Janet Evanovich's Grandma Mazur in her Stephanie Plum series and if you know Grandma Mazur, then you know that Orla is quite the character. I love her in the present, I love her in her past, and I just absolutely loved this book - it was fan-flipping-tastic!

I'm sure you already know how I feel about Orla and I didn't know it was possible, but I'm even more fond of her than I was before. She's not as rascally in her youth as she is now, but that doesn't mean she's some weak, delicate flower, oh, no. Ms. Orla is sweet and innocent, but she's sassy and feisty and she's not going to let Jethro McKinnon get away with being a grouchy, growly grump. Yep, Orla puts him in his place when he needs it and keeps him on his toes. Orla is so wonderful, I just loved, loved, loved her and I know you will too!

Well, I'll be - Jethro might just give the McKinnon women's men a run for their money. He was certainly something back in the day. Sure, he's a rough and tough guy who tells it how it is and is surlier than a bear with a thorn in his paw, but my, oh my, when Jethro turns on that charm - the man is downright irresistible! He's sexy, possessive, dirty, and a little mischievous. Jethro won't always have good moments, there'll be times when you want to shake him, but then there are the times when he's so open and honest and sweet that he'll just grab you by the heart, melt you, and never let go. I loved Jethro just as much as Orla and I can't wait to visit these two again.

Wed by Wednesday is extremely sexy, so funny, and a major hoot to read. It made laugh out loud a lot, it made me gasp and sigh and tear up with the good kind of tears. It was utterly amazing and heartwarming and it's without a doubt one of my favorites in the series.

Wed by Wednesday can be read as a standalone, it's told from Orla and Jethro's POV, and these two have been living their happily-ever-after ever since they met!

I liked it well enough. Some parts were better than others. I think it's a good introduction to the series. I'll most likely read more by this author at a later date.

This book deserves a genre of its own. It is my favorite *romance* read of the year, easily!

You meet Orla and Jethro at an old age, attending their nieces wedding. You're taken back in time to the 1960's, when everything was so different from today. It's a wonderfully romantic, and hot love story.

Orla is someone I related to on an embarrassing level. The girls hilarious, and she's a spitfire! I stopped eating chicken probably 5-6 months ago because I work with a few that are kept for eggs.

Anyhow, this scene with Orla had me in stitches! "“You’ve eaten chicken, right?” he tried to reason with her. “Well, yes.  But never one I knew personally,” she wailed as she began to shake her head frantically, her eyes panicked." I feel ya, Orla! Even if I am a few decades behind you.

Another typical Orla moment is when her and Jethro are having a bit of a spat, "You see, I wonder that if I do you the very real honor of becoming your wife, you might not survive the wedding night. I’m almost certain I might end it smothering your overly inflated head with your very own pillow, and based on what I’ve both seen and heard of your character and attitude toward women, no court in this town would convict me!”

Orla makes the entire book- gosh I love her!

Watching the relationship between them grow, even in the short time frame we get to see is amazing. It makes me crave a time before dating websites, and hookups.

Sweet, sexy, funny, this one has it all. This is my first experience with the Passions for Paradise series and I'm hooked. I absolutely love Orla and how she puts her "Farmer Man" in his place. "Scared of you? ... Of course not. Not at all. However, Mr. McKinnon, I do have some substantial concerns for you." Sarah O'Rourke pulled me in and I couldn't put Wed by Wednesday down. Orla's innocence is endearing and her temper is fiery. Poor Jethro definitely has his hands full and I enjoyed every minute of watching these two get to know each other.
