Dear The Prison Healer,
oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! So thankful to not work today, and I’m immediately going to the library to pick up the rest of this series.
I love this and bonus point for our FMC/Hero not being a warrior. She is so compassionate and smart.
Okay, gotta go and I don’t text and drive! 📚 ⬅️ 🚙

A slow start but that’s the world building. The last 150 pages kept me hooked… The plot twist at the end goes crazy. I was not expecting that whatsoever

I get the hype for this book. I truly do.
Here’s the thing, this book isn’t a ton of action. It’s a lot of focus on character development with Kiva and getting to know the world she has been occupying. And it’s brutal, dark, and I truly don’t know how anyone would survive it. I don’t know if I’m more sensitive these days or what, but there were times I had to put the book down because just thinking of all Kiva and all the other prisoners had seen was too much for me.
I truly enjoyed the pacing, the character development, the world building at its slow and steady pace. I really got into it.
There were some things I saw coming, but even kind of knowing I was still surprised at it all as it unfolded.
Oh also that ending had me 😳🤯

I found the book a little slow, and I don’t know if I find the whole premise of the games to make sense🙈 but I was vibing! And that ending!! Looking forward to read the rest of the series 😁
