I know that the fight between Riz and Legoshi isn't really about a fight. That it's more of a confrontation between two different ideologies about how carnivores and herbivores should live with each other. And that Legoshi eating Louis' foot not only ties into that theme, but its also a pivotal moment in both their relationship with each other and their character arcs.

But I still can't get over how extremely avoidable it was. There was a million different choices the characters could have taken, some of them being the most reasonable ones, that would have avoided cannibalism, and it still happened. It rangers from "Pins could have called the police 10 minutes earlier" to "Legoshi could have NOT orchestrated a fight to death that he knew he was going to lose".

The fight has so much dialogue, but it still works. Ibuki dies on this one, which is very sad. I wish he stayed a little longer, I wanted to see where his relationship with Louis would evolve.

Whaaaaat ? That’s a lot to process. I am torn between the greatness and the weirdness of this volume...

This is the book where I was so annoyed at Legoshi but really really thankful for how things resolved themselves in the end.
I kinda love their fucked up friendship that involves cannibalism.

Just when I think Beastars can't get any better than it already is, Paru Itagaki pulls out volume 11 and causes an international cultural reset. This volume literally had me in tears from how beautiful the friendship between Legoshi and Louis is becoming. If you aren't already reading Beastars, volume 11 is definitely worth picking up the series!!!
