This is better than the first volume because the exposition is out of the way and we can focus on individual characters. But the plot is still pretty flimsy, the results are predictable, and the "thriller" aspect suffers as a result. I'm still getting confused by some of the character designs being too similar.

I was hoping to get to know the characters a bit better, especially Tokaku, but the story seemed more plot driven than character driven in this volume.

2.5. I liked it better than the first. But it can't hold a candle to Kouga-sensei's own work. The writing is still choppy, but it flowed better this time around. The art is not as good as hers, sadly, but at least, Haru was growing on me.
