The found family is so strong in this one. Percy literally can’t stop thinking about annabeth!!!
Hazel and frank are so cool. Their backstories are more interesting than Jason’s and Piper’s and Leo’s. (No offense :))
Lots of heartwarming moments are the descriptions are chef’s kiss. For some reason I find this book quite boring sometimes and a little slow. Idk, maybe I just don’t like the amnesia trope.

I had MUCH more fun with this one than the first one and I’m excited to get into the third one and see the full squad unite.

As with the Lost Hero I very much enjoyed this installment in to the world of Percy Jackson. I like how Riordan is blending the Roman and Greeks into one story and showing them as two sides of the same coin.

With this book I did feel like there are a few too many powers going on.
SpoilerSuch as being able to shape shift into whatever one wants. This to me was a little bit getting of track and just creating some power that makes the character "special". I would have thought it cooler if there was a developed talent more along the lines of what Mars possesses.
I also wished that the end would have continued a little bit more
Spoilerand shown the reuniting of camp friends, but, maybe Riordan left that for the beginning of the next book. We'll see.
Overall great story and I look forward to the next book.
