I got this book as an Amazon First Read.

I think this is a really adorable book about transitioning from preschool to kindergarten and getting to know a brand new teacher and routine. Kids need so many tiny lessons and books like these remind me of that. I think it's a very imaginative book, the pictures are wonderful and I plan to read this book to children.

A fun book my daughter seemed to really enjoy

This was a cute story that my daughter giggled through. I would definitely recommend it for any little pirates out there.

Adorable and fun!! Pirate Emma doesn't want to change grades. She's grown to love her Pre-School teacher and all the fun she had. Being a mom of four, I totally know how that is! There were some grades where I didn't want my kids to move on because we had some wonderful teachers. My soon to be kindergartner loved this book! Even though she didn't attend pre-school she can totally see how it's similar to how she feels about leaving me since we've been together every day since day 1! We read the Kindle version but I think this would be a great book to add to our collection. Loved it.

This book is way too old for Babe! It would be a very cute way to help your kid prepare for the transition to a new classroom/teacher.

Pirate Emma is all set to start kindergarten, but she doesn't want to leave her Pirate Captain (preschool teacher) behind in this adorable first day of school book. Kids who are having trouble leaving pre-K behind or who are feeling nervous about starting Kindergarten will appreciate spirited Emma and her dedication. And young pirate fans, whether they're anxious about starting school or not, will appreciate the piratical language and imagery.
