Got a kiddo that is resisting the transition from pre-school to kindergarten (or just to a new teacher)? This is a cute story about the bonds between teachers and students, and helping kiddos make transitions to new adventures! Very cute illustrations!

Love the illustrations

Going from preschool to kindergarten is a pretty big transition, especially for kids who have the same classroom and the same teachers for more than one year of pre-K. The story is cute, but not spectacular, but I absolutely love the illustrations!!

A delightful romp, hilariously illustrated and conceptualized, that tackles the tricky transition from one grade to the next in such a clever way.

This book had a number of things going for it - I liked the simple fact that the pirate protagonist was female, and the book overall is fairly inclusive. Dealing with the transition from preschool to kindergarten is a good topic, but this book was a little boisterous to me - which could be good for the right kid.

A book to help with change management in kids! I know quite a few adults that could benefit from this book too.

Ahhhh. I can see why this was nominated for the best book of the year on Goodreads. It is really cute and the author and illustrator did an amazing job. In this school there are various ships instead of classrooms and Emma wants to stay on her pirate ship, but she is to move up to the spaceship. The hardest thing to leave is her captain. But with the help of said captain, she will learn that pirates can exist in space too.

This book is adorable. It's about a girl named Emma who has a hard time adjusting from pre-school to kindergarten. You get to see Emma on her pirate adventure as well as the beginning of a space adventure. It's perfect for any little one starting school or transitioning to a new grade. It's a great bed time story that would be fun to read out loud.
