I did not care for the MMC and it was a little boring.

I got absolutely sucked into this one. This one had a lot more heart than the first one for more than a few reasons, but I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s better. They’re both equally amazing and I can’t wait to go get the third one.

The tagline for this one makes me lowkey uncomfortable but the book itself wasn't too bad

Adorable! I loved the two little girls in this book, so funny and quirky. The romance pattern is very similar to the first in the series.

I love the sex scenes in this, particularly in the lack of shame about casual/pre-marital sex (unique in historical romance) and the focus on non-penetrative sex and sexual exploration.

But my favorite part has to be seeing the kids open up to their guardian and governess and vice versa.
