Many thanks to Netgalley and Chronicle Books for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I need a copy of book, I need it to exist in my book shelves asap. It was filled to the brim with awesome, funny, scary horrifying stories. My favorite story was the story of the war prisoner Peter Moen.
The Japanese farting competitions was hilarious, and the human skin book binding was horrifying. I had a sneak peek to the French revolution's atrocities with that maid pants story and smiled at the authors at the hoax section of the book.

This book is amazing! It has so many wonderful, creepy, kooky, and mysteriously spooky creations. I could only hope to find something half so interesting in my library!

It is a quick and fun read that I absolutely recommend if you are at all curious about the weird human creations that were made pre-internet.

Is there anything better to a bibliophile than a book about books??!!
