I deeply appreciate the way sa was treated in this volume. It felt healing and empowering. I also appreciate the warning and the message that you could skip the chapter if it was triggering for you. So far, the way the author has treated all these important topics have been excellent. Definitely my favourite manga by far. I hope for many success and health in the future for Kamome Shirahama 💕

I left a longer review of the series on the first book, and my review/opinion still stays the same.

I absolutely love Witch Hat Atelier and I definitely recommend it to anyone who loves lovable characters who get plenty of character development, a good fantasy story with that with a cool magic system, beautifully inspirational art styles, a complex story that makes you question what is considered "good" or "bad" and a great deal of silly adventures and fun!

I always read my manga online, but with this series I make sure to buy a physical copy every time a new volume's printed version comes out.

The story, plot, characters, world, magic-system and art are all simply amazing in my eyes and I can't wait for more updates in the future!

Manga and anime often have a problem with normalising sexual assault, so to read a manga that not only includes a trigger warning and tells you which page to go to to skip the sexual violence, but also treats the whole topic with seriousness and support for victims is such a relief. In a sea of sexist boundary-breaking ecchi content, even in manga that is primarily a different genre than ecchi, Witch Hat Atelier is a safe harbour.

Shirahama-san has managed to create a diverse fantasy world with a central moral conflict (magic and the laws limiting its use) and moral ambiguity and I'm excited to see where she will take us.
