"Who killed Rose Red?"

In Fabletown, a community of fairy tale characters residing within New York City, the disappearance of Snow White's sister, Rose Red, has shaken this undercover community. With a gruesome murder scene and a cast of suspicious Fables with their own agendas, it's up to the reformed big bad wolf sheriff to figure out what happened to her.

I love this new take on all the old fairy tale characters that I grew up with. They've escaped from an evil adversary to our modern world in order to avoid persecution, and now they're trying to live normal lives, hidden from the regular humans. It was a short, fun mystery with an interesting twist towards the end as all of the secrets were revealed.

This is a great comic series that I can't wait to read more of, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is even remotely interested in it.

A graphic novel about Fairy Tale characters living in exile in our world with all of us “mundies” (I.e. mundane people). The story never drew me in as much as I had hoped.

3 1/2 stars.
The plot and mystery was a little underwhelming, but this was enjoyable overall. The take on fairytale characters in a modern setting was unique and a lot of fun. I've heard the series gets better as it goes on so, I'm excited to read the next ones! Review to come.

This is one of the few books that is just as good as I remember. It has its problems, for sure, but it's a comfort read.
