A collection of short quotes by Mister Rogers about life, loving yourself, and going with the flow. There's a lot of great wisdom in here - it's worth reading each quote and thinking about it for a day or two.
A wonderful collection of inspiration! Perfect for whatever challenges or obstacles you're facing in life. I enjoyed this insight into the world of Mister Rogers and it will be a book I revisit often.
Thanks to Hachette Books and NetGalley for a free e-arc for review.
This was a really sweet, affirming book. The first section made me tear up, as I read some kind words that felt particularly relevant to my life right now. And I think that's the beauty of this book - no matter who you are, or where you are in life, there's something within its pages that will hit close to home for you. There's something in here to comfort and encourage us all.
In someone else's voice, these nuggets of wisdom and advice may sound trite, but they didn't feel that way here. Given who Mister Rogers was, they felt like sincere words from an old, dear friend, who just wants the best for all of us. What a gift we've been given - in his life, and books like this that continue his legacy of kindness and love.

A lovely book, I wish there were more people like Mr Rogers, the world would be a warmer place.
I never grew up with Mr Rogers, but when I stumbled across a video of him online, I was so amazed and moved by everything he did and said and how it not only applied to children, but also adults.
Everytime I feel a little 'down' as one might say, I'll go online and watch a little bit of Mr Rogers and there he tells me how wonderful and beautiful our world is.
This book is the same. It is a collection of quotes and very short stories by Mr Rogers and it helps with getting through dark times. It is so wholesome and beautiful. I cannot say enough good things about it.
5 stars, obviously.

I received a digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I was beyond thrilled when I found out I had the opportunity to read this book. Like countless others, I grew up planted in front of the TV, watching Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood, and even looking back, I feel that Mr. Rogers shaped my childhood so profoundly, laying the groundwork for the way I saw the world and the person I would grow up to be. So getting a chance to read this book feels a bit like getting together with an old friend again.
Reading this was such a beautiful experience, and soul-healing in every sense of the word. As I read, I could hear Mr. Rogers’ calm, reassuring voice so clearly in my head, relaying to me all of these tidbits about life, like why it’s okay to feel the things we feel and how it’s important to be kind and forgiving not only to ourselves but to those around us. Hearing his voice in my head made this all the more enjoyable to read, and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get choked up more than a few times. As I read, I felt like there were so many words of wisdom and positive affirmations that really struck a cord with me, like I needed to hear these words said to me at just the right time.
I also found it interesting that a lot of the sentiments and quotes that Mr. Rogers supplies in this book mirror so closely something I might read today on Tumblr. Thinking about the self positivity/positive affirmation movement that’s emerged over the past few years, it makes me wonder how much of this was influenced by so many of us who grew up with Mr. Rogers telling us these very same things that, years later, we would come to repeat to others and ourselves. It truly speaks volumes to the immense legacy that Mr. Rogers has left behind and how we all continue to carry a little bit of Mr. Rogers with us every day.
This lovely little book is a great one to have sitting on your bedside table, for those days when you need a little reassurance, a daily affirmation, or maybe just a reminder to always live your life with kindness in mind, both for yourself and those around you. Thank you, Mr. Rogers, for being a guiding light in all of our lives.

I don’t know why, but reading Mr. Rogers words of wisdom in a book like this almost made them trite or insincere. It’s almost like a book you get for graduation with phrases to live by. I wanted to like this more than I did. Mr. Rogers was still a cool kind cat though.
Mr. Rogers is becoming my new hero. I love what an odd character he is. An unassuming, ordained TV star who played songs and animated puppets for children to teach them values. This book of quotes is a little deep and dry, but it has some of my new favorites.
