Explores important concepts but writing, character development and story flow leave something to be desired. Fifi is comedy heaven though!

Heart-breaking, yet beautiful. A girl who cannot believe in love, who always looks for the ending of a love story, realizes that love is worth risking it all.
Evie has great character building. She doubts the fact that she loves X, but her body and heart do the opposite.
X is hot, clearly, a player before melts at the cuteness and unique style of Evie.
2 people, one who has lost completely her trust in love, and for commitment, and one who never find his true love before.
Evie holds on to him and decides to not run away, enjoy every moment she can love with all of her heart, and receive a person who loves her with all of his heart, even though she knows in months, she will have to say goodbye to him.
The ending is satisfying enough, though is so heartbreaking.
Nicola Yoon did it again, giving us a good heartbreak.

I thought I would finish this book with cute and fluffy feels but I am really upset at how it ended :( I would have taken a very different approach, but then again I'm not a writer so lol.

This is less a contemporary romance and more of a contemporary fiction coming of age with speculative elements and romance. What I'm saying is, the romance isn't the focus of the story.

Overall, I enjoyed as always Nicola's writing. My favorite book continues to be The Sun is Also a Star, but this one is also really good.
