It doesn't matter that love ends. It just matters that there's love.

I had the pleasure of listening to this on audio on Libby. I thought this was going to be another silly little ya romcom and boy was I WRONG! This story definitely pulls at your heart strings and makes you think. Its plot focuses on living in the moment and the true power of love. This was the first time I've read a book by Nicola Yoon and I was surely not disappointed. The story follows eighteen year old Evie Thomas was doesn't believe in love anymore. We see her go through the ups and downs of relearning how to love and learning to live in the moment. There are some magical elements with great character development to this beautiful coming of age story. I definitely recommend this book, especially if you would like to shed a few tears.

The romance was really sweet and the message was impactful, but I don't know how I feel about Evie being the bad guy for how she reacted to her parents' divorce. Why is she made to be the grown-up in this situation?

Another fantastic book from Nicola Yoon! I had high hopes for this one, since I’ve really loved Nicola Yoon’s other books, and the concept of this one sounded really interesting. I’m happy to say that it met and exceeded my expectations. I liked the structure of the book, with a lot of short chapters, and the writing and humor. I thought the journey our main character Evie went through was real and raw, and I appreciated the themes the story sought to teach. I also really like the main guy X; he was one of the best male love interests I read in a while: sweet and sincere and patient, but also really funny at times.

I would highly recommend to any who reads YA, or even more serious adult contemporary books. I think this was a solid book and more than worth the time.
