booktok LIED to me they told me this book was a happy romcom. However, I was literally bawling my eyes out this book broke me. Yet this book was so beautiful and it will always stick with me
A former favorite student gave me this book to read, telling me I'd love it. She was right!! I already have lots of students in mind to share this title with. This is my favorite of Nicola Yoon's.
I'm not a big ya reader, but I'm glad the first ya book that I've read this year was this one. It's so emotional but the lessons that is being taught are important. I'm still so heartbroken but I'll be okay

If you’d told me this was by the same author who wrote Everything, Everything, I’d have called you a liar.
old review...it isn't vaild
I read Yoon's two previous books in the past and I loved them so much! When I saw this book in the library, I was so excited to give it a read. However, I didn't really enjoy this book as much as I thought I was going to.
1). I felt like the characters weren't actual people. I couldn't relate to them on a personal level so I didn't care what happened to them in the story. I got the vibe that the side characters and X were bland and very sterotypical.
2.) I didn't like how Evie threw away her beliefs on love so quickly.
3.) The romance for me was way too fast. In Yoon's previous books, the main characters had an emotion attachment before the romance arc occured. It didn't matter the amount of time it took for the attachment to take place, they just had one. That was alright with me, I loved that about the previous books. This one I didn't see any emotional attachment and only physical.

This was so sweet and sad!! I didn't love the mc at times but I thought the themes of loving and living in the moment were so poignant and I think this book truly came at the right time for me.

While it is not my favorite of Nicola Yoon's novels, it is emotionally touching. Yoon brings up some philosophical questions that help the reader to grow.
