Ugh. Pregnancy trope. Ridiculous power ups. And rewriting a side characters identity (has a son in the first 2 books, but now she is a first-time mum...?!). I can't do it anymore. DNF.

The plot is essentially the same for every book. The context got boring for me.

My Rating: ❤️❤️❤️❤️.5

General Thoughts: I am obsessed with Hades & Persephone retellings, especially when paired
with them being tragic fated mates/soul mates across time. So this one hit all my spots.

I binge-read this one immediately after finishing the first in the series. In fact I binge-read this entire series and 2/3 of the interconnected series that actually happens before this one in a day.

I loved Lucas Ifer and his character and his development here. A lot of the side-characters were annoying and questionable with what they did (but intentionally so.) This is also the book where I realized I should have read the Seraphim story first. But you can definitely read it as a standalone series and be fine too.

If you are a PNR fan, check this one. It's a good series.

Quote: “Are you going to steal my soul? Should I be afraid?” “Oh, Hannah. Your soul already belongs to me.”

Steam Meter: ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 Pretty steamy and hot.

Romantic Tropes
-interconnected spin-off series
-trilogy (with a related fourth book)
-fated mates/soul mates across time
-morally grey MMC
-Hades and Persephone retelling
