The thing this book does achieve is peaking interest, though a lot of the time I felt let down by the "reveals". Also the typos and repititions were very distracting to me and the stylistic choice of leaving a storyline before its peak ended up seeming more like shying away from having to write the big moments.
The dynamics were interesting enough though that I would probably watch an adaptation.
(I still don't understand the point of the twins.)

There is a lot going on in this book, three sisters and their various lives with partners etc, plus their Mother and her life and then all the flash back to past events made for a lot going on and a lot of characters.

My favourite sister was Imogen. She is the first character we meet in the book in the opening chapter with her and William in Venice really draw me in. Her storyline was interesting, her completely dull relationship with William in comparison to the heady sexual relationship with Rowen ( a woman). What a revelation in someone's life. I feel like Imogen's story could have been a whole book on it's own

And that really sums up the problem with this book, there is a lot going on with all the characters and so at times it all felt a bit surface level. I rarely say that a book is not long enough but this book had the potential to be a really epic multi-generational family saga but you needed way more than 336 pages to achieve that
