Someone recommended this series for me but after reading this, I’m not sure if it was an honest recommendation or they wanted me to suffer.
The writing was so horrible, an editor is the number one priority this author needs in the future. Plus, it was embarrassing. The characters acted like teens. If you can’t talk about it, don’t do it. And yes, that counts for relationships too.

Noah low key reminded me of Rhett from The Learning Hour and Miranda is was girl version of him.
They had cute moments but I wish they more time to develop it's insta-love.
Looking forward reading other books in series.

Very solid 3,75-4⭐

I'm not a fan of dual POV, but this was okay. The main characters' internal monologues were funny and very normal (for me, at least).
The characters were very realistic, and Buzz was a funny best friend.
Wish the author had explored more the social media aspect of being a celebrity (or dating one), but perhaps that'll happen in the following books.

This is my first book from this author, and I'll definitely read more.

Ney never disappoints! I’ve been struggling with reading slump since last month, but after reading this, I’m cured!

Finished it in one sitting, and I enjoyed it! It’s always the same for Ney’s books to keep it light, the conflicts aren’t too dramatic and long. Though I like that, it also makes it hard for me to see it as realistic — nothing in life is ever that easy.

I enjoyed Miranda’s character, she’s fun and direct — confident and knows how to assert herself. Unlike most sports romances, this didn’t deal with a cocky/bad-boy image but good guy kind of character for Noah. I love that he’s shy and reserved, he’s the highlight of this book for me.

Excited to read the next, Hard Fall!

This book surprised the hell out of me. It's a story I didn't expect. I've read this one in one sitting and I had a fantastic time doing so.

The characters are intriguing and have great chemistry. Noah surprised me the most. It was really refreshing reading about a professional athlete who doesn't think he's god's gift to the female world. Noah is humble, absolutely down to earth and sadly full of self-doubt. He's not self conscious about his looks and his effects on women. He's a guy you just want to hug and show him that he's worth loving.
Miranda is great, maybe a little boring character, but she loves Noah for who he is, not what he is or for his looks. She's what Noah needs and it was great following their journey finding each other.

However, I've got a little problem with the story itself. I think it was cut short in the end and I feel like something is missing and there is a lot more to tell. I was left with some questions that I never got answered and I'm quite curious, why Miranda settled to easily in the end without inquiring anything further.

Overall this was a quick and entertaining read in Sara Ney's usual style. If you loved her other books, you'll definitely want to read this one!

I wanted a light, low angst book with a little humour and that is exactly what I got from this book.

I like what the author tried to do. It was something unique. I think I liked this book from the second I read the blurb.
Noah has self esteem issues as you can probably see from reading the blurb. It gets in the way but Miranda fights through all those issues.
I love this couple and wish it would have been a little longer because I didn't want it to end. I loved the easy conversation they had going between them.
Oh and this book had some steam to it.
Also, this had a really cute epilogue which is always a favourite.

I need Buzz's book like now. Because he was amazing in this book. He kinda grew on me. I can't wait to see the girl who ends up with him.

So many issues of communication that just knocked the rating down again and again, with the underlying story that made me think it could have been so good. Like yeah, the dude is so awkward, but the constant cringe I had at Noah/Buzz mistaken identity, then the prolonged silences in phone calls and even on their date. And then the sex scenes ranged from oh, that’s ok to a level of puking from gross mental commentary.
This was such a waste, because the awkward people getting over their awkward, the public humiliation, the sass, the cringy best friend who was constantly rooting for them were so good. What a wasted opportunity 😔

I was about to DNF this but decided to stick with it.
3.5 stars for me.. some of the story was a bit ridiculous. It did have some funny stuff in it that I liked.
