it’s really a great book. cried several times reading this book. it consist of 7 short stories if im not mistaken each touches on different topic (diff political issues, diff trauma etc) but still around the same theme which kinda make it feels repetitive a bit if you read it in one go like me. i think it’s better if you read the stories in between another book so it might felt less redundant.

but it still a solid book. the characters were relatable and alive. i enjoyed my read. my faves from this book def xin chao, xin chao, the secret, a song from afar and shoko’s smile.

This book was so confusing to me. The relationships were all weird to me. The stories were mostly depressing. I wanted to like this book so badly but I really only connected with two stories and even those left me with some confusion.

i liked some stories more than others, i really enjoyed how Eunyoung wrote these intricate feelings and relationships with nuance and compassion
