Love Willa Nash/Devney Perry.. this was another smash!! Cannot wait to finish off the series!
Small town ✔️ rugged Sheriff MMC ✔️ great plot with suspense ✔️✔️✔️✔️
Such a great start to the series. As always.. sucked into this small town. This one doesn’t have the wholesome family vibes that usually come with a small town.. that’s the only thing that felt missing. The male lead has a sister and parents he gets along with but we never met them.. kinda wish we did.
I think this is a great series to start with if you’ve never read Devney Perry/Willa Nash.. her books only get better so if you love Themis series.. you’ll LOVE the rest of her work. I’m a huge Devney Perry fan and knew I’d love this series as well.

This book is surprisingly PG despite the cover haha. Not sure if I’ll continue the series, the story was a little too white bread for me but I see how this could be a cozy series

“In public, you’re Jade. But behind closed doors, you’re—”
“Lucy?” she breathed.
I shook my head. “Mine.”
“I don’t care where life takes us as long as it takes me with you.”

2 stars.
Trigger warning for death of an animal (not on page) but the way it was done was mentioned.

I loved this book. Duke and Lucy are so perfect. Their characters were amazing just on their own but together they were even better. I loved that Travis was a huge part of their lives and all the little things they brought with them were adapted into the relationship. I absolutely love that the conflict isn’t OW drama or miscommunication/assumed cheating. The relationship strengthens during their conflict and they come out of it together and stronger, which is absolutely beautiful. I love everything about this book and can’t wait to break in “The Bluff”!
